San Luis Obispo, CA — In a continued effort to better serve member stores and equip independent Christian retailers with the tools for success, Parable has hired Jim Clark to serve as manager of member store sales.
Parable offers complete retail solutions for both franchise and non-franchise member stores. Clark will work alongside Parable Franchise Sales Manager Chris Brown, developing relationships with retailers interested in the services offered by Parable but not ready for or interested in franchising.
"Member stores are important to us," says Steve Potratz, Parable CEO. "We are an interdependent community; both franchise and member stores benefit from one another at Parable."
With more than 15 years of professional sales experience in the Christian products industry plus 10 years of retail ownership and management, Clark is well acquainted with the needs of independent Christian retailers. Throughout his career, he has developed relationships with numerous store groups and chains, including Family, Berean, Munce, Lemstone and Parable stores.
"I've watched the way Parable serves stores for years, and I'm excited to be a part of the team," says Clark. "Parable is providing so much more than marketing for stores today; from financial help and staff training to inventory management and exclusive products, we really offer the most complete retail solution available today."
Most recently, Clark served as the director of trade sales for Strang Communications. Currently residing in Florida, he will work out of the Nashville Parable office.
"We realize franchising is not the first choice for everyone; by bringing on someone with Jim Clark's experience, we'll be able to better connect non-franchise stores to the services Parable offers," continues Potratz. "As more storeowners discover the ways Parable helps make business better, we're confident many will join us. It's a win-win situation."
