San Luis Obispo, CA — Christian bookstores Bibles Plus and Chronicles Books & Gifts have both joined the Parable franchise, unifying under a national brand in their local market of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
"The addition of Bibles Plus and Chronicles to the Parable Franchise family gives Parable a complete market presence in Albuquerque," explains Chris Brown, Parable manager of franchise sales. "In addition to brand awareness, franchisees also benefit from the purchasing power, the marketing presence in each community and the gathering and implementation of Best Practices."
Bibles Plus is owned by the Christensen family and has been a Parable member store since 1993.
"We have always appreciated the professionalism of Parable, and trust the direction they are heading," says Kevin Christensen, Bibles Plus manager. "In the long term, we believe the Parable franchise will bring strength to our store."
Sid Smith, long-time friend of the Christensens, purchased the Munce Group store Chronicles Books & Gifts in 2005. Smith had come from the flooring industry and was involved in the CarpetOne cooperative, so many of the programs and services Parable offers were familiar to him.
"CarpetOne was bringing flooring retailers into the 21st century," explains Smith. "I'm looking to Parable to be on the leading edge of what's happening in the industry, drawing insight from other stores to help me recognize customer buying trends and shifts in the market."
In particular, Smith was drawn to the data services offered by Parable.
