Triunison Names Parable's Melissa Lundie as General Manager

San Luis Obispo, CA - Triunison, the supply chain partnership between Appalachian Distributors, Bookstore Manager and Parable, announces the promotion of Parable's Melissa Lundie to the newly created position of Triunison General Manager.

"Melissa has consistently made enormous contributions to building chain-like efficiencies for the Christian Retailer. She knows today's technology. That knowledge gives her the perfect opportunity to impact the supply chain and insure Christian retail success," says President of Appalachian Distributors Tom Torbett.

"We believe this move will help give Triunison a clear path to success with the clear accountability for that success resting on Ms. Lundie's capable shoulders," noted, Randy Voorhees, President of the point of sale systems company, Bookstore Manager.

In her new role as Triunison General Manager, Lundie will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Triunison as well as the business planning and services development. Triunison is planning to launch two vital services for independent Christian retailers this year. The first, called EyeOnInventory, will launch March 28. It is a web-based software that will allow retailers and suppliers to work together more closely on getting the right product in the store, The second is a robust inventory control service for independents called Collaborative Inventory Optimization (CIO) that will launch late this fall. Ms. Lundie will also continue to serve Parable as Manager of Business Intelligence and Database Development.

Triunison was birthed last summer to revitalize the supply chain process. The venture founders Randy Voorhees, Tom Torbett and Steve Potratz came together to build a system to cut supply chain costs for stores. The technology includes one central secure web site to be accessed by vendors and stores. This collaborative pipeline will allow retailers and suppliers to, among other things, share information and coordinate timing, core inventory levels and overstock issues.

"While industry initiatives have been hard at work developing supply chain standards, we've just not yet seen the development of a system or solution that works across a variety of platforms for stores and suppliers," says Steve Potratz, Parable's founder and CEO.

Triunison is a company founded by three industry leaders, Tom Torbett of Appalachian Distributors, Randy Voorhees of Bookstore Manager and Steve Potratz of The Parable Group. Together they provide Christian retailers with the tools they need to reduce costs and increase margin.
